First and foremost, you need to sign up for a PayPal account. You can get a PayPal account at their official website. If you are a Filipino, please select the Philippines as your residing country. At the same time, you may want to use peso as the primary currency to ease your daily transactions.
You can opt to use other currencies such as US dollar if you wish to perform international money transactions. Please make sure that you have at least P200 in your EON account so that the PayPal can verify that you have an active account. This amount will be credited back once your account has been verified.
You can Verify Your PayPal Account Using the EON Visa Debit Card!
If your account is already verified, you can link the EON Visa Debit Card by clicking on “Add Credit/Debit Card”. Then, choose the “Add Card” option. Otherwise, you can log in to your PayPal account and click the “Get Verified” tab. For security and safety purposes, only one card can be registered to an account at a time. However, you may link up to 8 cards to your PayPal account.
Next, you have to enter the details of UnionBank. Here are the details of the bank you need to fill in:

Then, you have to key-in the 16 digit stated on your UnionBank EON Visa Debit Card. Besides, you need to enter the Card Verification Value ( CVV). The CVV is the last 3-digit number on the back of your card. You can find the 16-digit number on the front of the card, above your name. Meanwhile, another series of number which is under your name is your EON account number. Please make sure that you use the EON card number instead of your account number in order to verify your PalPal account.
The EXPUSE Code to Verify Your PayPal Account!
Once you have successfully added you card, it’s time to get the Paypal Code (EXPUSE) number. This is a 4 digit number to verify your PayPal account.
The EXPUSE Code can be found on your Billing Statement after you enroll your EON Account to the UnionBank’s Online Banking facility. Click here to view the sample. You can either get the EXPUSE Code on the monthly paper statement or by viewing your transaction history online.
However, if you have just received your EON Visa Debit Card, you may need to wait for 5 days for the EXPUSE Code to be reflected on your statement. Otherwise, you can call the UnionBank Customer Service hotline to get the code:

After successfully receiving your EXPUSE Code, you can now log in to your PayPal account. In order to complete the verification process, you just need to click on the "Finish Expanded Use Enrollment" tab on your Account Overview page. Once you finish entering your EXPUSE code, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that your PayPal account is now verified.
The process may take up to 48 hours. After that, you can enjoy online borderless shopping using your PayPal account. Your UnionBank Debit Card can be used to fund your PayPal Account when you are making online purchases. It can also be used to withdraw your PayPal fund.
